Our "Round-the- Grounds" Train

Pulled here by a 5-ton Plymouth industrial locomotive

We, the members of the Tuckahoe Steam and Gas Association, welcome you to our Internet site. We are an all-volunteer organization founded in 1973 and headquartered on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our purpose and goal is to preserve the historical Eastern Shore rural way of life. To meet this goal, we maintain a nearly-fifty-acre facility five miles north of Easton on US Route 50 on which we collect, restore, display, and operate a wide variety of antique, association- and member-owned industrial machinery and agricultural equipment. Our collections are housed in buildings dedicated to each category of equipment. Our Rural Life Museum houses our collection of household and every-day items, as well as a small restored machine shop. We welcome the public to our annual show held on the grounds during the weekend after the Fourth of July. We also sponsor many other events and share our facility with various community groups. We are always actively seeking new members who will share our interests and goals.

We have some photos of our recent show and grounds.
